Friendly reminder: we put this together to prepare you and ensure you have a smooth market experience, all makers are required to fully read and agree to the market details so that we can have a wonderful weekend together in Miami!

Street parking. Please park far from the venue so that attendees can easily park and shop! (Unless of course you have special needs!)
All indoor makers, load in from the front of The Glass Factory, not the loading dock.

Market hours: 10:00am (VIP HOUR)-4:00pm
Tear Down: 4:00pm-5:00pm (no security over night but the building will be locked)
Load in & setups: 9:00am-10:30am

Teamwork makes the dreamwork! While our marketing team is hard at work promoting and selling tickets to bring thousands of attendees over the weekend, do your part!
1. Share the Facebook Event Page.
2. Share the market graphics to all of your social media accounts, including stories the week of the market
3. Tag us and use our hashtags so attendees can see all of your wonderful work and come out to interact and buy
4. Tag Jacksonville, FL as the location in your posts so that locals know you're coming to their city
Make sure you let your customers know where you'll be this weekend, and create your own incentives by promoting special market-only sales and giveaways on your social media!
Please plan your setup according to whatever size space you purchased for the market. The space you purchase is the space you'll have to work with including: furniture, storage, products and space to move. If you're unsure, we suggest setting up at home and measuring to ensure you arrange your space comfortably, or purchase a larger space if needed.
Markets for Makers does not provide any tables or supplies, your space purchase is for the vending space and all makers are to bring their own display materials.
The available sizes are:
6' x 4'
10' x 8'
Ensure the table you bring is smaller than the space you purchase, as you will need room to move around it! You can find smaller tables in stores like Walmart and Costco.
We will be open an hour early at 10am on Saturday for VIP-only shopping before we open to General Admission attendees at 11am. Makers are encouraged to hold special sales at their booths for VIPs during this hour! If you fill out this form for the VIP sale you may be included on the pamphlets given to VIPs: VIP Sale Form.
We have an incredible photographer named Cole LoCurto in Jacksonville to photograph our market.
He will be at the market on Saturday, February 15th offering individual vendor photo sessions! He will be available Saturday afternoon to stop by your booths if you please! The rate for an Individual Vendor Session is $50 and will include between 7 and 10 images of your products, your booth set-up, an image of you, and anything else you’d like him to capture.
This is a fantastic resource for sharpening up your social media or website presence after the market! All proceeds go straight to Cole, we're just organizing it for him.

A beautiful display can definitely increase your sales. Ensure you plan it so that it's not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing. Here are examples of setups that our team has seen do well in markets: https://www.pinterest.com/marketsformakers/makers-booth-inspo/
There is no wifi. All makers are responsible for their own internet connection for sales. Makers generally bring a Wifi Jetpack or a cellular enabled iPad to provide strong connectivity to their Point of Sale systems.
Feel free to bring as many staff as necessary to run your booth (within reason). They do not need any special pass, just have them tell ticketing they're working at your booth. Do account for food and drink, as we provide 1 light lunch per booth, not per person.
This is an indoor facility, and is not ideal for pets or children. While you are manning your booth you are expected to be engaged with your customers. We do encourage you keep the kiddos and furry ones at home for this event. Feel free to email email@example.com with any special requests or questions.

As we do not provide tables, we suggest you bring your tables with you or purchase them when you get into town (check with your airline if you can check a folding table, or pack it in your car if you're driving!)
Frequently Asked Questions
No need, we just need to see that your booth is set up on time and that you're present! You'll receive the space assignments and layout by email the day prior, but if you're unsure of where your space is, just find one of our setup staff and ask for directions.
No, makers are not permitted to tear down before 4pm, even if you've sold out (yay!) You may put a “sold out” sign and leave your booth if you wish, but this is a great time to connect with custom order customers or pass out information on your company.
Water bottles will be passed out to makers both days, but please bring your own food and drink as there will only be light refreshments (one bottle of water and one light lunch per booth, not per person). We also have food trucks at this venue! PLEASE EMAIL US IF YOU'RE VEGETARIAN (this is the only dietary requirement we can accommodate). firstname.lastname@example.org
At the front by ticketing, there is also a small bathroom in the back area through the kitchen.
You may email email@example.com with information and product photos of any products that are in addition to what you applied and were accepted for. This way we know where to place you in the market (by category) and can approve the product types in accordance with our rules.
During the market our team is looking for the following qualities in Makers to be invited back:
● General good vibes and attitude
● Engagement and attentiveness with shoppers
● Promotional efforts online
● Booth display
● Adherence to schedules (payment, load-in, load-out)
● Good communication
● Thorough understanding and compliance of our policies (leaving booth space clean, etc.)
Please note: We have a limited amount of Makers per category to ensure the market maintains a standard of high-quality and variety. Participation in past markets does not guarantee a spot for future markets as we do rotate vendors. A well made, creative and clean display, a good, high-quality presence on social media, a positive attitude and high quality products are all things we look for when we select makers.
